Using this pattern I found on Etsy, I made Heidi a new car seat cover out of some of the Raggedy Ann fabric I got from Spoonflower. This was a tough project; sewing through all those fabric and stuffing layers was very arduous.
How did you do it? Every time I try to sew thick stuff I break thread and needles left and right. I feel incompetent when I am sewing... I need to take a class or something.
Awesome job! Is this a britax marathon seat? I'm debating & I don't know how long she'll be in her car seat (britax roundabout - smaller than marathon). I may need to focus on other frustrating and arduous sewing projects instead, haha. Thanks for sharing ~Devon :o)
Um, I've had it so long that I forget. I think it's a roundabout - I'll have to go look! But I remember that the pattern that I used can fit either. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32455285

ReplyDeletevery cute and professional looking, btw... great job!
ReplyDeleteI really thought I would break a needle! Quite surprising that I didn't.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I feel incompetent too.
