Oranges and Elsie

Here's the second painting I've completed in my painting class at BC3. This is taken from the a photo I took when Elsie was 1 or 2. It was probably the only time she ever sat still. That red and pink outfit wasn't working for my color scheme, so I got rid of it. But it's okay to do that when you have an artistic license. I really do have one. My teacher gave them out to all of the students. :)

  1. You did a great job, Mary! I also can't believe how much your picture and painting both remind me of Heidi! ---Actually, I just asked Joshua who he thought the little girl in the painting was, and he said, "Heidi!" (I didn't even show him Elsie's picture below!)

  3. awesome job, mary. i do feel bad for being jealous of your awesome artistic abilities, but maybe one day i will be just as awesome as you and won't have to be anymore... LOL. is that crazy or what?
